With a focus on manoeuvrability and control the Goya Surf looks to be a great option for wave sailors around the world. The control you get from the Surf allows you to be exactly where you want on the wave, this means you really can pick and choose your next move, giving you time to process what’s going on around you. With this control comes the amazing lightweight manoeuvrability, the ability to sail whichever line you pick will bring on your wave sailing leaps and bounds. Why not try some wave manoeuvers? Nothings out of reach with the Surf.
The Goya Surf is effortless to sail, this increases your time on the water with less physical fatigue. When you do then get tired the pure joy you get from this sail will keep you going for a good few hours more.
Goya Surf Handing Characteristics
The Banzai Surf outline is higher aspect (longer and narrower), with a shorter boom length than the Banzai Pro and Banzai Max. Combining this with the lower and more central lift position gives riders a neutral feel which give the sails core values of control and manoeuvrability. This neutral feeling is what makes the Surf feel so lightweight in your hands, the power never pulls too hard but there is plenty there when needed.

Goya X Construction
- Main Window Double stitched

- Folded rear edge on mast sleeve to prevent fraying
Main Window Panel – 6 mil X-Ply film with black Spectra yarn. This black yarn offers high modulus stretch resistance and improves the tear strength. Goya did some testing into the colour of the X-Ply and found that by using black yarn it absorbed the light and offered very little reflection. This improved vision through the sail drastically.
Upper Window Panel – 5 mil X-Ply with black yarn to reduce stretch and improve durability.
Upper Body Colour Panels – 2.5 mil scrim plus X-Ply. Reduces the weight whilst still offering reduced stretch you get from traditional X-Ply.
Foot/Tack Panel – 4 mil aramid scrim. Superior tear and puncture resistance in the area of highest impact.
Carbon Stretch Control Tape – Pre-tensioned carbon fiber offers low stretch and zero crimp. These tapes improve reinforcement, efficiency and save weight.
