  For SUP surfers looking to catch more waves, rip harder, and experience less fatigue during long sessions, the Surge delivers. The Scooped Dihedral blade bites the water and delivers the instant acceleration needed to scratch into set waves or escape the impact zone. To improve stability, the extended tapered scoop ensures you’ll always get a powerful stroke, even if you don’t get the full blade in the water. Thanks to our TEXCARBON construction, the Surge is not only the lightest surf paddle on the market (from 350 gr / 12.35 oz) but also incredibly durable, built to withstand a pounding from the burliest waves. Our smooth blade edges increase safety and blade strength, while also reducing damage to your board’s rails. The L, M, S and XS blades feature our reduced diameter shaft (RDS) for increased comfort, while the XL uses our regular shaft for larger paddlers.

  BLADE ANGLE

  The shallow 8° blade angle results in a direct and positive feel through the power phase. The lower blade angle allows paddlers to enjoy a more aggressive and efficient paddle stroke. It also results in a slightly shorter paddle length.

  The ridge along the front of the blade increases stiffness both vertically and laterally, resulting in increased strength and enhanced responsiveness. This structure helps the blade maintain better stability for a predictable feel you can count on.

  We smoothed out all edges and incorporated our slim-line joint to make a sleek and efficient paddle. This increases safety, increases blade strength, and reduces board damage. The slim-line joint system reduces drag through the water and prevents rail damage caused by hard edges.

  TEXALIUM, KEVLAR & CARBON CONSTRUCTION

  The Surge paddle is equipped with a 100% Texalium and Carbon shaft, the increased impact resistance of Texalium helps protect paddles against breakage. The silver finish reflects UV rays, reducing sun damage and keeping the shaft cooler on the water. Meanwhile, the textured shaft also enhances grip, while still being gentle on the hands. We paired this shaft with a blade and handle built in a red kevlar and 24T carbon construction for a unique and sleek aesthetic. On the inside, the laminates are optimised to increase strength and reduce weight, while maintaining an optimised flex required in a surfing paddle.

  THE LIGHTEST

  Throughout the design process, all unnecessary weight was removed. This effort has resulted in the Surge being the lightest SUP surfing paddle available. For example, a Surge Medium that’s cut to 69″ (175cm) is only 13.2 ounces (373 grams), approximately 50 grams lighter than any other high-end surf paddle. This reduced weight translates into an improved paddling experience, while also being easier on your body.

In fact, it’s why we offer the Surge in five blade options and four shaft options to best suit your specific paddling needs. Choosing the right paddle might seem daunting at first, but don’t worry, we made it easy to identify which is the best option for your optimal paddling experience.

  This table is not designed to be a one-size-fits-all solution, shaft choice will depend on the paddler’s preference, height, and any previous injury. The recommended column is suitable for most people. If you are taller than average for your weight, consider a stiffer option and if you are shorter than average for your weight consider a more flexible paddle shaft.   PADDLE LENGTH FOR SURFING

  This table is not designed to be a one-size-fits-all solution, and recommended lengths may vary by approximately 1″ (2.5cm) depending on the paddler’s preference. It’s easier to cut your paddle down than to glue on more shaft (especially with our hot glue construction), so we err on the side of caution by recommending the longer end of the spectrum.
