Firewire Lowrider Thin 3pc Tail Pad – Black/Charcoal

The Lowrider traction is a do-it-all pad with a great low profile look and epic board feel. This pad has a more natural feeling when compared to larger tread patterns, the Lowrider is a favourite when seeking enhanced control without sacrificing flow and finesse. It has a low incline tail kick trimmed at the heel and toe edge of either side of the pad, the Lowrider has just enough elevated surface area behind your back foot to enable turns as tight as you can drive them. Cut from thin rectangle grooves, this pad’s minimalistic approach is offset by an extra firm arch bar, creating one of our favourite Algae Traction pads yet.

Firewire have collaborated with BLOOM Foam to create a collection of traction pads for the modern surfer with an eye on environmental issues and sustainability.

BLOOM is a high performance flexible foam made from algae biomass which has been harvested from freshwater sources around the globe.

The process literally involves skimming “pond scum” from affected sources, solar drying, pulverizing it and then foaming and forming into tail pads!

This patented technology results in a lighter, more durable and cushioned deck pad and at the same time improves the water quality in waterways by reducing the suffocating algae and re-circulating fresh water back into the environment.
